چکیده

Accordingly, the standards are not tied back to the The application-to-application exchange of business data, known as electronic data interchange (EDI), has not fulfilled the expected potential. The focus for the development of EDI standards should be shifted from the interchange file to the information contained within the business process. The use of object oriented techniques to model the semantics of business data permits the differentiation from IT specific requirements. In this paper we present the OO-edi approach. OO-edi is based on UML and the Rational Unified Process (RUP). Nevertheless, RUP is only a framework and guidelines on how to exactly apply modeling must be specified. The presented customization of RUP is called UMM (UN/ CEFACT’s modeling methodology).

ebXML and its impact on conventional Business Information Systems

For over 25 years, organizations have used Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems to handle business transactions. However, EDI is neither cheap nor simple and is based on private networks. It forces organizations into long-term, tightly coupled trading relationships with their business partners. EDI does not stand for a free exchange of information and transactions. Electronic Business XML ...

An Overall System Design Approach Doing Object-Oriented Modeling to Code-Generation for Embedded Electronic Systems

In this paper a new approach for an overall system design is presented. It supports object-oriented system modeling for software components in embedded systems in addition to time-discrete and time-continuous modeling concepts. Our approach provides structural and behavioral modeling with frontend tools and simulation/emulation with back-end tools. The UML metamodel is used for storing CASE dat...

UML as a Schema Language for XML based Data Interchange

The Unified Modeling Language (UML) is here used as a schema language to define data interchange formats based on the Extensible Markup Language (XML). UML is a powerful and flexible modeling language and XML is expected to be the next generation data interchange format for the Web. UML's declarative expressiveness and intuitive visual form overcome XML's current declarative powers. The use of ...
